MEET GARLAND HART

A different chapter.
A reason to show up.

In 2023, the court system gave Garland an opportunity to rebuild.

After decades of drug use and incarceration, that chance mattered. So did the people who kept showing up.

After Marleigh’s overdose, Garland was a steady source of support for his family. He helped them face the ordinary, difficult work of getting through each day.

Now we want to put Garland on staff as our re-entry coordinator. A paid role. Consistent support. The chance to help other people build a way forward.

Second chances take work.
Let’s make it his job.

Two milestones. One thank-you. Both thresholds must be met: the community’s recurring monthly support and your cumulative paid gifts to this campaign. Earlier supporters count. Future subscription payments count only after they are paid. Choose the bundle you want to work toward; one bundle is fulfilled per supporter, not one per renewal. Rewards are optional and arranged by email after review.

THE DETAILS

Know what
you’re backing.

Clear goals. Real contributions.
A person at the center of it.

What does the $5,000 monthly goal fund?

The goal is to fund Garland Hart’s W-2 re-entry coordinator role with We Fight Monsters at $5,000 per month. Monthly giving helps establish ongoing support for that role; one-time gifts also support the campaign.

How are the two progress totals different?

Monthly support is the verified monthly value of recurring support. Money received is paid campaign contributions, including one-time gifts and recurring payments that have already been received. A one-time gift does not increase recurring monthly support.

While you’re viewing this page, it checks monthly progress about once a minute. The date and time beside the total identify the last confirmed update; contributions and subscription changes appear after processing. Money received is reviewed separately through November 5, 2026 and does not change instantly at checkout.

When can I receive a thank-you gift?

Both conditions must be reached: the campaign’s monthly milestone and your cumulative paid-contribution threshold. You can request a reward now and work toward it over time. Once a community milestone has been verified and unlocked, it stays unlocked. Your personal paid-gift threshold still applies.

Choose the bundle you want to work toward. One bundle is fulfilled per supporter for this campaign, so monthly renewals do not create additional rewards. The team confirms eligibility, shirt availability, shipping details, and any call arrangements through your checkout email. There is no automatic shipment when you select a reward.

I already gave. Does that count?

Yes. Earlier paid contributions to this Garland campaign count toward your personal reward total. Paid monthly renewals count, too; pledged or future payments do not. Use the same checkout email where possible so the team can match your contributions, and keep your order details for verification.

Can I give without receiving anything?

Absolutely. “No thank-you gift” is the default choice. Skipping merchandise reduces fulfillment costs and leaves more of your support available for the mission.
